Brass Patch Insignia
made for the Division's 50th Anniversary
in 1991
- actual height: 4 inches -
|
More information is coming on
this rare collector's item that is probably the finest graphic
ever made of the Division patch insignia. A limited number of
copies were made, and we know that Gen. Jerry Rutherford presented
some to the officers and board members of the 3AD Association
(WWII vets) at their reunion in 1991, which was the 50th anniversary
of the Division's founding. The slightly rounded surface held
the metallic-paint design which was covered by a flawless, smooth
gloss finish. The brass base was 4 inches high and one-eighth
inch thick. |
